Yeah I know it’s not his downfall. It’s just that I am a Megadeth fan, and Marty’s by far the best lead guitarist in Megadeth’s history, I really miss his great solos … ;(
It’s now his downfall. He’s in Japan because he loves it there. He shows up on Japanese TV shows and even hosted his own Japanese show because he loved it.
He used to be my hero, but after watching him doing these things in that show… Oh my god he changed a lot! I still remember when he was in Megadeth… those were golden years…
Anymway, he’ll always be a great guitarist no matter what he does.
For him to the idea of thinking outside the idea of thinking outside the idea of thinking outside the idea of thinking outside the idea of thinking outside the box and following ones heart used to have.
I agree with you but the older you are, the tougher it gets to learn a new language. It’s easier when you’re a kid. But definitely, if you are fully interested in the language you want to learn, you’ll end up learning it.
Not all THAT hard. Learning another language just takes an open mind, and patience. But most of all, you must have a firm interest in the language. Helps ALOT. XD
japan is a great place for guitarists..good guitar playing is alive and well there unlike today’s emoshit..most guitarists in japanese bands are good players coz they learn a lot from clinics with masters like friedman, gilbert, malmsteen and satch..
From Wiki:
Currently living in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, he travels the world giving clinics, performances and master classes in dozens of countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America. He has become a major force in the Japanese music scene, playing lead guitar in the bands of some of the country’s most famous performers. He also appears on Japanese television and as a columnist for a major Japanese music magazine and a national daily newspaper.Friedman speaks fluent Japanese.
I didn’t know Marty was fluently speaking japanese! Hats up for up him as it’s a very tough language to learn! I’m gonna check Wikipedia, maybe he has japanese origins…

Also Marty NEVER sold out. He has been making solo albums that sounded way different from Megadeth when he was still in Megadeth.

Marty still has strong accent.
His speaking sounds funny because he remembers unexpected words and expressions from a person still learning the language.
Probably because friends around him love to teach him those expressions just for fun but not in the bad way. It helps him getting more popularity.
