Today i`ve tried to make my own paneer, but unfortunately it was in the “palak paneer” to crumbly and crumbeled nearly completly. But i didnt fried it before i gave it into my palak paneer dish. do you think this was the problem? or did i not pressed the paneer enough?

I recently went to an Indian restaurant in my hometown I just found out about, and it was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Their Paneer was incredible and perfect for me being vegetarian. I’m definitely going to try frying my own Paneer now.

I made this with goat milk, made from a dry mix. I used rice vinegar, which has a milder taste than regular vinegar. I read one user on another site who heats this in her microwave. Namaste, Manjula

i’ve actually used a really heavy pot or a stack of pots to press on the paneer (in the cheesecloth) in the colander, for like a few hours. it took a while, but it was pretty frickin solid.

Paneer is absolutely delishious. But I use plain yoghurt which seems to work just as well as Lemon juice.
